Diagnostic Scanning (OBD Scanning)

Purpose:
To read and interpret fault codes from the vehicle’s onboard computer (ECU) using advanced diagnostic tools and machines.

Detects:

  • Engine management faults
  • ABS, airbag and transmission issues
  • Emissions and sensor problems
  • Warning lights and stored trouble codes
  • Live data for real-time system monitoring

Benefits:

  • Quick and accurate fault detection
  • Helps pinpoint electrical or sensor issues
  • Essential for modern vehicles with complex electronics

Vacuum Test

Purpose:
Checks engine health by analysing vacuum pressure in the intake manifold.

Detects:

  • Valve timing issues
  • Intake leaks
  • Exhaust restrictions
  • Worn piston rings or valves

Coolant System Pressure Test

Purpose:
To check the coolant system’s ability to hold pressure and operate without leaks.

Detects:

  • Leaks in radiator, hoses or coolant reservoir
  • Failing water pump seals
  • Cracks in the engine block or cylinder head
  • Blown or leaking head gasket
  • Weak or faulty radiator cap

Oil Pressure Test

Purpose:
To ensure the engine is receiving the correct oil pressure for proper lubrication.

Detects:

  • Low oil pressure caused by a worn oil pump, clogged oil filter, worn engine bearings, or internal blockages

Engine Compression Test

Purpose:
To assess the condition of engine internals and compression within each cylinder.

Detects:

  • Worn piston rings
  • Leaking valves
  • Blown head gaskets
  • Other mechanical issues affecting engine performance

Smoke Test (Vacuum & Intake System)

Purpose:
To find air leaks in sealed systems like the intake manifold or EVAP (emission) system.

Detects:

  • Cracks, broken seals or loose connections that can cause poor engine performance, rough idling or check engine lights

Infrared Imaging Test

Purpose:
To visually inspect heat distribution across engine and vehicle components using thermal imaging.

Detects:

  • Overheating components such as brakes, bearings or electrical systems
  • Blocked or restricted coolant passages
  • Uneven engine or exhaust temperatures
  • Faulty sensors or wiring overheating
  • Cooling fan or radiator performance issues

Hydraulic Pressure Service

Purpose:
To safely apply high force using a press for removing or installing tightly fitted vehicle components.

Used for:

  • Pressing out or fitting wheel bearings
  • Removing and installing suspension bushes
  • Fitting or extracting pistons, gudgeon pins or con rods
  • Replacing ball joints, universal joints, and pulley bearings

Benefits:

  • Reduces risk of damage to components
  • Ensures precise and even force application
  • Ideal for components requiring press-fit assembly

Diesel Injector Testing

Purpose:
To check the performance, spray pattern and fuel delivery of diesel injectors to ensure efficient engine operation.

Detects:

  • Blocked or leaking injectors
  • Poor spray patterns
  • Uneven or excessive fuel delivery
  • Hard starting, misfiring or rough idling
  • Increased fuel consumption or smoke from exhaust
